Bike rental available from Port Chalmers and other handy locations.

The Port To Port ferry gets you between Portobello and Port Chalmers so you can complete the harbour Cycle Loop.

This handy package includes bike rental as well as the Cycle Ferry crossing. 

The Otago Harbour Cycle Loop is 32kms of mostly flat and paved shared cycleway. It takes minimum of 2.5 hours without any stops and including the Port To Port Ferry crossing. We recommend 4 hours or more, including stops including lunch.

Itinerary:

Pick up your bikes in a handy central Dunedin location (Or add delivery elsewhere for extra $20 per bike. Discount on delivery may be available for groups). Meet your friendly bike rental operator to be fitted to your bikes.

Cycle the Otago Harbour Loop and make stops along the way for photos, food and drinks or tours.

Hop on the ferry during your cycle journey, we will advise ferry departure time and location on booking.

On the Port To Port Cycle Ferry you'll receive a commentary on the way and we see birds, boats, historic Quarantine Stations and shipwrecks along the way.

Its a Mini Harbour Tour as well as a ferry crossing.

The crossing is approx 10 minutes in duration.

Custom made bike rack onboard the vessel, vessel can carry approx 15 bikes at a time. We do multiple trips for more bikes. 

You do NOT need to load the bikes as the skipper will do this for you. Please remove bags, however. Its not necessary to remove batteries.

If you require children;s bikes (110cm height or smaller) or an infants seat on your adults bike please tell us in your booking notes.
