Learn about the sustainable ways wild local seaweeds can be harvested and prepared to be eaten.
We head ashore to explore and find seaweeds as well as view from the boat on this special cruise.
There will also be a chance to make and eat your own sushi under the guidance of Izumi (using store bought ingredients).
There may also be an opportunity to test a local seaweed during the cruise.

Expert guided information session on collecting and preparing edible sea weeds.
Expert guided instruction on making sushi as well as store bought sushi making ingredients.
Boat cruise and return ferry.
We cant guarantee any special food requirements such as gluten free etc.

We depart from Back Beach in Port Chalmers at 10:00am orv3:35pm.
Or Portobello at 10:15am or 3:45pm.(please write PORTOBELLO DEPARTURE this in your booking notes).
Returning again 2 hours later.
Suitable for adults and children ages 5 years and up.
If you prefer a Portobello pick up please write this in this in your booking NOTES and the departure time will be approx10 minutes after the advertised starting time.
